I can’t believe the big day is tomorrow! The Top 5 finalists have a very busy day scheduled, so I wanted to make sure I blogged one more time before the BIG announcement. I just want to take some time to tell you how I am feeling right at this moment and to thank some people. My journey started on October 6 when I decided to audition for The Rhode Show SFAS competition. I arrived at Twin River eager to audition and was happy to learn that I was lucky #100. (little did I know they were only accepting 100 applicants)Next was making it into the Top 20 and now here I am alongside 4 lovely ladies in the Top 5!
The journey has been an absolute blast and such a great learning experience for me. I have met such amazing people along the way and had one of my dreams become reality. Co-hosting The Rhode Show was truly one of the best days of my life. I was able to do something that I love and have such a passion for. Regardless of the outcome tomorrow night I am going away from this experience with no regrets. I have put my absolute heart and soul into this and have given it 150%. I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way. First a big thank you to everyone at Fox Providence and The Rhode Show for giving me this opportunity and seeing something in me. To my family… Mommy, Daddy, Ricky, and Ingrid I love you all so much and couldn’t have done it without you. To my incredible friends who have always believed in me and encouraged me to follow my dreams thank you! To all of my fellow Rhode Islanders who have sent such kind words and well wishes my way I hope you enjoyed learning about me and hopefully this won’t be the last you see of me! To the other 4 lovely ladies in the Top 5 it has been an absolute pleasure to have met all of you. Thank you for making this experience so much fun!
Make sure to tune in tomorrow night to Fox Providence at 7:30pm to find out who will become the next Co-host of The Rhode Show!

Today was the big day and I just want to say that I had an absolute blast from beginning to end. I started my morning bright and early with an interview at Cat Country 98.1 on The Morning Show with Jess, Brian, and Amanda. As I have mentioned before I am a HUGE Country music fan, so being interviewed there was a great start to my morning. Jess, Brian, and Amanda were so funny and I had a great time with them! I want to thank them for welcoming me and for the goodies they gave me as well.
1st stop Cat Country!
After my interview I was off to Fox Providence Station to Co-host The Rhode Show! I was eager and excited to learn what I would be doing on todays show. I got to Co-host with Danielle and Stephen, and had such a great time with them. They were so sweet and made me feel right at home with them on the Big White Couch! I interviewed Scott Farber from Hunt’s Photo and Video and learned all about the new Mirrorles cameras. I will definitely be putting that on my Christmas list! I also was able to hang out in the kitchen and eat some DELICIOUS “Angry Salmon” featured from David Burke Prime at Foxwoods. My favorite part of the show was being able to give all the The Rhode Show viewers a sneak peak at my segment “Rhode Trips” that I would bring to the show if chosen as Co-host. The morning flew by and I’m still pinching myself. Today was a dream come true and I feel so lucky and blessed to have been given this AMAZING opportunity.
Thats a wrap!
My favorite camera man Ric Valles
I want to thank everyone at Fox Providence and The Rhode Show for being so welcoming and helpful today. It was such an unforgettable experience, and one that I will treasure forever. To all my family, friends, and fellow Rhode Islanders who have supported me through this entire competition I can’t thank you enough. I hope I made you all proud this morning.
Make sure to tune into The Rhode Show on Monday morning as the Top 5 ladies will be at Cardi’s Toys for Tots Drive then tune in for the LIVE finale at 7:30pm to see who will be crowned the next SFAS Rhode Show C0-host!

This week has been so great and it’s only Tuesday! Each day this week the Top 5 gals will be co-hosting The Rhode Show and my turn is Friday! Last but definitely not least Before my big debut on Friday morning I will be a busy bee. On Wednesday we have been invited to ice skate with America’s favorite couple Mickey and Minnie Mouse! They are in town for their Disney on Ice: Mickey & Minnie’s Magical Journey, which will be at the Dunkin Donuts Center Dec 28th-Jan1st! Every year as a kid I would go watch all of the Disney shows on ice, and some things never change. I will be watching another magical show yet again this year
My next stop will be bright and early Friday morning at 5:45am at Cat Country 98.1 on The Morning Show with Jess, Brian, and Amanda. I am a HUGE Country music fan, so as soon as I heard that I was going to be interviewed I was smiling from ear to ear. Cat Country 98.1 is programmed as my #1 radio station (just a bit OBSESSED) what can I say I LOVE IT!
Right after my interview it’s off to the studio to Co-host The Rhode Show. This is what I have been waiting to do since I found out I was one of the Top 5 finalists. I am beyond excited and anxious to sit alongside Danielle and Patrick on the big white couch!
Make sure to tune in on Friday morning at 8am!

Let me start off by apologizing for not blogging as much these past two weeks. I was a bit under the weather and lost my voice, so I’ve been resting. Luckily, I am feeling a lot better now. I still don’t have my voice back completely but almost.
The past two weeks have been crazy to say the least, but I am loving every minute! Last week the Top 5 finalists got to sit down with Stylist Jill Marinelli from JM Stylist. I am a girly girl so I was extremely excited to meet Jill and talk about one of my favorite things CLOTHES! We learned the do’s and don’ts for what colors work in front of the camera! White = Marshmallow as Jill would say, so I’ll definitely be staying away from that. We also learned what body types we were, which was very helpful in order to learn what looks best on us and how to accentuate our best assets. I learned I have an hour glass body shape and also an inverted triangle ( I have those lovely broad shoulders haha) Jill was so helpful and super sweet and it was an absolute pleasure to have met her.
Next came the one thing I could not live without MAKEUP! Kirsten from Jolie Visage taught us all of the tips and tricks when applying makeup for television. As a former PAGEANT GIRL I was excited to hear that wearing a little more makeup was a good thing. HD television can be brutal, so looking you’re absolute best is a must!
Meet my new best friend
After our fabulous and fun makeup/styling meeting we were off to Dunkin Donuts to shoot a promo segment. I got to have my two fave things from Dunkin…Hot Chocolate and the NEW Cinnamon Swirl Muffin YUMMY!
Make sure to tune on December 9 when I co-host The Rhode Show to see my Dunkin promo.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with their loved ones. I am so thankful for all of the amazing people I have in my life and very thankful to be one of the Top 5 finalists.

Christmas is right around the corner and the TOP 5 got an early present! We had the chance to attend Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” on opening night at the Providence Peforming Arts Center!
The Top 5 greeted guests as they arrived and handed out Rhode Show Swag! We were also invited to stay and watch the show and I must saw it was FABULOUS! The GRINCH was great, and I loved how he included the audience so much throughout the show. It was a great show for all ages!
The TOP 5 also did a promo shoot with Ni RO Pe at Cardi’s Furniture in Swansea, MA. I was excited we were getting to meet Ni Ro Pe and also do one of my favorite things…SMILE FOR THE CAMERA! SAY CHEESE
Here’s a sneak peak from the shoot!

My 2nd assignment for “The Rhode Show Search for a Star Competition” was to work with a local charity. The charity assigned to me was The Potter League for Animals. I am a big animal lover, so as soon as I found out the organization I would be working with I was thrilled!
The Potter League for Animals is private non-profit organization located in Middletown, Rhode Island. The Potter League provides shelter and care for lost and unwanted animals. I was able to shoot my segment, learn all about The Potter League, and best part of all play with the animals. (My favorite part was playing with all of the kittens)
I wanted to showcase this amazing organization and all of the great things they do for animals, so I am hoping my segment does just that. My segment will be airing on The Rhode Show on Wednesday, November 30th so make sure to check it out!
Also, a big thank you to Ginny Hanbridge and all the staff at The Potter League for Animals for being so welcoming and allowing me to come in and learn about this wonderful organization.
For more information on The Potter League for Animals you can check out their website at www.potterleague.org

Happy Hump Day Rhode Show Fans!
It will almost be a week since I was named one of the TOP 5 finalists for the Search for a Star Rhode Show Competition and it still feels surreal. I can’t tell you all how honored and excited I feel to be part of such an amazing group. Each of us are truly unique and would make a great Co-Host for the show.
I will be blogging throughout the next couple of weeks to keep you posted on our weekly assignments and posting pictures as well. I finished my first assignment today, and I must say it was such a blast! We had 24 hours to film a Bio/Day in the life of ourselves. I am very happy with my finished product and can’t wait to see what you all think when it airs next week on the show.
Make sure to check it out on The Rhode Show LIVE next Thursday, November 17,2011 at 8am.
Top 5 Finalists on The Rhode Show Set!
Also, I would like to thank all of my friends, family, and fellow Rhode Islanders who have helped me get this far in my quest to become the next Co-host of The Rhode Show!
