So since we’re getting to know each other, I have to admit it. I’m really intrigued by the Odoms! I can’t help it! I mean really, its hard not to be. With that said, a huge congratulations is in order for these love birds!

Two month anniversary
Our favorite newlyweds have made it to the one month mark as man and wife. That’s right, a WHOLE month! That means the NBA player and reality star have been together for a total of two amazing months! Now, I don’t know about you guys but that is a lot longer than I could have ever imagined.
I can’t explain my fascination…maybe it’s because Lamar and I are both from Queens and went to neighboring high schools. Either way keep your fingers crossed for these two. I can’t wait to see what’s next. Oh and if you are as obsessed with them as I am, be sure to tune in to their two hour wedding special this Sunday on E!

I think everyone has at least one. I am certainly one of those people who gets the, “Hey, you look a lot like….”
Whether I’m meeting new people or walking down the street, people often approach me to say, “Hey, you look a lot like someone I know.”
Now I have to say it’s usually quite flattering… but every now and then I get someone or something that just makes me feel alittle uneasy and gets me thinking, “Do I really look like that?”
So I thought about it and came up with this.

Recognize these faces? It’s Destiny’s Child diva Kelly Rowland and Access Hollywood correspondent Shaun Robinson. So what do you think? Am I pushing it? Do we look-a-like? Or have people been lying to me all of these years.
Now before you go there’s one more addition to the group. It’s Eyewitness news very own Nneka Nwosu. Many of you may recognize Nneka from her reports on Channel 12. We’re not sisters or even twins. But many people have said we share a striking resemblance. I don’t know. What do you think?!

Look-A-Likes?
Hopefully all of this madness put a smile on your face and makes you think …I may be fine, but who do I lookalike?

Rick James
For those of you who loved Chapelle’s Show (may you rest in peace)… last night I got as close as I will ever get to meeting the infamous and always outrageous Rick James! I mean, what better way to get to know Providence nightlife than rub elbows with bunnies, psycho killers and over done idols from the 80′s.
Before I headed to the party, I had to decide what to be. I was unprepared and overwhelmed with choices.

After raiding overcrowded party stores ,my gal pals and I ended up going as a trio. Angels and Demons.

Angels and Demons
But we all know that didn’t even come close to some of the best costumes which included Patrick Bateman from the 2000 film “American Psycho” and a Vegas showgirl. Of course, Rick James claimed the top prize of the night being the showstopper he is.

Rick James Victory
Overall it was a great night and I can’t wait for my next adventure out!

My lines were three words: Country, contemporary and transitional
So there is a lot to learn about this fascinating state. I find myself discovering new neighborhoods, traditions, highways and byways everyday! But one thing I can tell you for sure is that the Cardi’s family is everywhere. The three brothers and extended family that make up Cardi’s home furnishings are on billboards, in commercials and have become Providence’s very own rock stars in their own way. If learning all of this wasn’t enough, they invited us, the Top 5 Finalists to shoot a commercial with them! I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting the trio today and be a part of the glamourous life, if only for a day. I quickly learned that “NIROPE “, a common phrase around here stands for Nicholas, Ron and Peter and can safely say they really are rock stars!
Here are some highlights from today.

Chris Rock may have come out with the documentary “Good Hair”, but in my life the challenge is having “Big Hair”. Actually, it’s something I pride myself on.
You see, I miss the good ole’ days when women opted for big fancy hair dos instead of the silky straight styles we see today.
I tell ya big hair is where it’s at!
In my quest to continue this tradition, I enlisted former Rhody and current Miss Green Earth Amy Diaz for help. Amy recommended a hair salon here in Providence. God bless her!
But boy was I nervous it wasn’t going to come out BIG!
Now pop the hood to see the results.
So ladies (and gentlemen), next time you’re in the hair salon, you know, getting your hair did , don’t be afraid to express yourself. Find out what works for you and WORK IT!
That is good hair!
But please don’t Over Do It!

Thursday night we spent the evening hanging out at the Roger Williams Jack O Lantern Spectacular.
As the Top 5 Finalists, we had the chance to hand out candy and kiddie tattoos to kids and encourage people to go to foxprovidence.com and vote for us to be the next co-host of The Rhode Show.
Here are some highlights from the event.

This summer I had the chance to visit one of my favorite cities. Some of you may know it as the most romantic city in the world. I know it as the City of Light because it is truly magical to me.
I went to visit a friend who is studying there and before we took on Paris we spent a few days in a quaint little sea town called Il De Re.

Il De Re lies on the north western coast of France and is the very definition of a traditional French village with a low tourist count who are mostly French. The beauty of Il de Re is in its beaches, mediterranean climate and friendly people, all of which resemble the adorable movie “Chocolat” which stars Johnny Depp. And speaking of Johnny, word is he has been spotted around the town while on holiday with his family. So I spent many a day hoping to bump into him but didn’t get so lucky. However, I was lucky enough to try some of the islands famous delicacies like cognac, potatoes and deliciously fresh oysters and shrimp.

Can you tell I love food?
Next my friends and I headed to Paris and hit the hot spots. The Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe of course!

We only had two days in the exciting city but we took full advantage. If you haven’t been to France I’d say it is definitely something you should give a try and experience once in your life!

Last night I had the pleasure of going to see Avenue Q at The Providence Performing Arts Center.
It was my first time at PPAC and boy let me tell you it did not dissapoint! The show was full of excitment!

Me on Avenue Q
Once I entered the auditorium I bumped into someone very special. It was the Rhode Show’s very own Shawn Tempesta and I had the pleasure of sitting right behind him!
Shawn is the greatest!
Once the show started, there were non-stop laughs the whole night. Avenue Q focuses on neighbors in New York City trying to discover themselves, their purpose in life and their futures. But don’t be fooled by the puppets because they will surprise you with adult antics at every turn. I must tell you when the advisory says 18 and over they really mean it. This spectacular feature is not for kids.
It is however one of the most original and contemporary shows I’ve seen in a long time! Truly a must see and a great night out!
Until next time Lambs!

Have you ever been on a really nerve racking job interview?

Mariah making the Top 5!
Many of you may know that feeling. Then imagine it is taped…in front of a panel of judges…and you traveled over a 100 miles to get there. Imagine that feeling, then times it by ten!
I have to admit, I was REALLY nervous the morning we found out we really WERE the Top 5 Finalists. But ever since then it’s been simply FANTASTIC!
Truth be told, I am not a native of Rhode Island. But that is the beauty of this whole experience. I have the opportunity to get to know this unique city. Its funny when you are from the big apple, sometimes people expect you to have a rough edge about you or an obvious inpatience . I am none of the above. Rather a normal 20 something…trying to find my place in the world…follow a dream and make a difference in something I am passionate about. I take my time and enjoy the simple things in life. So here I go!
First stop: The Roger Williams Park Zoo Jack-0-Lantern Spectacular Thursday at 6pm
Hope to see you guys there!
