I am definitely coming down with something. Well tomorrow is TGIF but I actually go to work. I cleaned my apt today. Is that not the best feeling in the world? It is like New Year’s Day when I finish. I promise that from now on I will hang up clothes as soon as I take them off, wash dishes as soon as I eat, and read articles from start to finish so I don’t look like a contestant for Hoarders. Well we’ll see. Am I the only one? Enjoy your weekends!!!!
I have Thursday off! It is my first day off in days and days. I am going running and listening to music, cause that makes me happy!!! Let me show you…..
Wow, I have been working hard. This whirlwind has put me in a sentimental mood. My first big job in front of the camera was a commercial for the Broadway play, ‘The Color Purple’. I got a free ticket and watched the show then the next day met with a director and talked about my experience.
It was an amazing play so shooting the commercial was not what I would consider work at all. Here is it is for all to see!!!
I hope everyone had great Thanksgiving! I will have video for you. I received a call from a friend telling me a website popular in Portugal, Cape Verde, and Brazil did an article about me. Below is a link and don’t worry I will provide a translation! The only problem according to the translation they referred to me as him. So congratulations Seth cause you are one cute Creola! Lol
Hello all. I haven’t blogged in awhile. I have been running between tasks for the contest and working 60 hours a week! As you already heard we were at Newport Creamery. I literally ran from a meeting at work to the restaurant. Initially, I was concerned about switching gears from my job working with youth at risk to scooping cones of ice cream, I was immediately put at ease by the friendly staff and great guests! So here is a little piece of what it was like, enjoy….
Just came back from lunch with Ben and the other contestants. We ate at Twin Oaks a Cranston staple, which has the best calamari!! You would think it would be uncomfortable eating with the very people I was competing against but it was just the opposite. It was fun getting to know everyone better and swapping stories about our experiences shooting. I loved getting Ben’s perspective about his year with the Rhode Show, he is hysterical. He will be on tour doing comedy starting on January so look for him. Everyday as it gets closer I want this more and more. Ok, I am going to get some work done. Dana
How was everyone’s weekend? I work weekends so I am on TGIS time! I was researching my next assignment which is fun in Providence on a budget. As many of you know I have the curiosity of a child. Theater, film, music, art, comedy- I am always up for an adventure. Luckily, Providence is a city that has a great deal to offer so this is going to be fun.
I learned some important lessons from my first piece, like how looong winded I am. Wow, do I really talk so much? So this time less is more. I am very excited to get out there but alas don’t get the camera until Wed.
Hey, is anyone gonna watch the new Sarah Palin reality show? I don”t think I would want to be on a reality TV show. I would however love to be a Judge on a show. It would be called Ms. JudgeMental and I would do it outside. Random people could come up and I could settle disagreements the way only a Rebeiro could! I would have Auntie TT as my baliff. OK, here I go again being long winded, I am going to go for a run. Dana
If you would have told me last summer when this picture was taken that I would have been one of the contestants for the Rhode Show, well I don’t think I would have believed. But that’s what is so great about life, you never know! I am looking forward to the next few weeks, it seems like it is going to be an adventure. I love a good adventure. I have been having a ball in Rhode Island this summer a little Block Island, a little waterfire, a little Lupo’s, watching the roller derby girls practice downtown. So has anyone had a cupcake from the vegan cupcake truck? I am so obsessed and really want to try one or more!!!!
Hello. Today I shot a little about my day. I picked a great one too, November 11th on a Thursday. This is not just any Thursday but AHA! What is that you ask? AHA stands for art, history, and architecture; it is a monthly gathering downtown and a great chance to see everyone! Each month there is a different theme and this one was, “Take a Seat”. I love this theme because we get so caught up with the race that sometimes the simple act of taking a minute seems impossible. I cannot wait for you all to share the experience with me through the little piece filmed. Please Let me know what you think, I look forward to reading your comments. Ok bye for now. Dana
My name is Dana and this is a little about me. I went to high school at Brimmer and May school for Girls where I played sports, and studied ballet, theatre and piano. After grad...
